Kids-Day at Raytheon

Braxton participated in the Kids-Day event at the Raytheon facility in Aurora, Colorado, in the Kit Carson room of building S79 on Thursday the 24th of April. The roomers of the Braxton RoboSat Command and Control Experience has become a requested addition to their annual event. Children ages 6 and above were able to successfully command the remote controlled model of the GPS IIF satellite using the actual software currently being supported on live GPS program. Each child followed the steps within a structured command plan to control the mock satellite using Braxton Technologies LLC. Command and Control application AceCP (Ace Control Point) which was connected to a true satellite simulation control application which was also developed by Braxton. Simulated despin, solar array deploy, antenna deploy and Sun Earth Acquisition Sequence maneuvers were simulated to demonstrate physical properties of the real GPS satellites.
